| NEW TEMPLE CONSTRUCTION: The SHIRDI SAI BABA /JALARAM BABA temple started functioning in a small one-room space in the year 1999. Since then the number of devotees visiting temple increased and we moved to new bigger space last year. Presently many devotees visit temple every day and around 250 devotees attend Thursday’s Satsang. Due to increase in the number of devotees both from Houston and other cities in Texas and also from neighboring states (LA, AR, OK etc.), even the present space is not sufficient. . Due to the space constraints and also the increase in the attendance of the number of devotees, both from Houston and other cities in Texas and also from neighboring states (LA, AR, OK etc.), the board of directors under the flagship of ‘MATAJI’ (the original founder of the temple) have bought a 7.5 acre land to construct a new and bigger temple to cater to the ever growing demands of the SHIRDI SAI BABA /JALARAM BABA devotees. The construction of temple has begun and design of the temple is being finalized. The main objective of the temple and the board of directors is to have a permanent structure with all facilities like a kitchen, conference hall (to hold special pooja’s and functions) and perform all religious ceremonies etc. To hire a full time and permanent priest to take care of all the religious rituals and the day to day pooja’s/aarti’s of the main deity - Shirdi Sai Baba.
